The only requirement Amazon does have in order for you to join their Affiliates program is you do need to have 500 followers on any social media platform, whether that be YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.

Here is someone that is killing it on Amazon affiliate marketing, so I’m going to show you exactly how to set up something like this today. The easiest way to get to the sign-up for the influencer program is to Google “Amazon Influencer Program.” That way, you don’t have to dig through the Amazon website. So go ahead and click on that, then you’re going to click “Sign Up” and I’m going to show you exactly how to do all these three steps.
You’re going to build your storefront, create and recommend products to your audience. I’ll show you how to do all of that as far as adding to your storefront. Be on your way to earning money with the Amazon influencer program.
Signing Up for Amazon Influencer Program
When you’re ready, go ahead and click “Sign Up.” This is free to do, and you’re either going to connect an existing Amazon account or you can create a new account. I’m just going to connect my existing Amazon account. Then you’re going to select one of these to check your eligibility. Even if you do not have an audience on TikTok or any of these, you can grow an audience the fastest on TikTok.
Just refer to my other videos where I show you how to create content. I literally have grown 40,000 TikTok followers overnight before, so even if you don’t have followers, you can grow a following very quickly.
Customizing Your Influencer Profile
Once you sign up, you’ll need to upload a profile picture, which I am using a picture from my dog’s account since we know our audience loves pet-related content. You can also add a cover image if you like, but it’s not necessary.
Now, let’s move on to filling out your information. You can add a bio to describe what your account is about, like “Dog influencer recommending pet products to other dog mom lovers.” Then you can add your Instagram handle here, and TikTok will already be connected. Once you’re done, click “Next.”
Setting Up Your Influencer Page and Storefront
Your influencer page is now ready. This is your actual influencer page right here. You can upload content like pictures or videos, tag the products you want to promote, and then share the link to your influencer page in your bio.
This allows your followers to click through and shop the products you recommend. You can create different categories for the products like “Beachwear Faves,” “Skincare Faves,” “Travel Favorites,” and more to keep things organized for your audience.
Creating Product Lists and Adding Products
Now, let’s set up idealists and add products to these. Once you’re on this page, click on “Idealist,” title your list (e.g., “Favorite Dog Treats”), and start adding products. You can browse through your history or search for the items you want to promote. Once you’re done, click “Submit,” and Amazon will approve the list.
Promoting Products Through Your Idealist
Now that Amazon has approved the idealist, it will show up on your influencer page. This is a great way to organize your products and promote them effectively. When you show these items off in your videos, your followers will know exactly where to find them and can purchase through your link.
How to Build a Simple Website for Your Links
Next, let’s build a website to add your affiliate links to fast, easy, and for free. The most common platforms I see people using for affiliate marketing are Linktree or Beacons.
I recommend Beacons, as it’s simple to use. You can add your affiliate links directly to the platform and share the link in your bio. This is a great way to track your performance and see what people are clicking on.
Optimizing Your Strategy for More Sales
How can you improve your Amazon affiliate marketing strategy to make more money? First, pick a niche. If you focus on a specific niche, like fashion or pets, your account will grow faster because social media platforms will know who to show your content to.
Mastering content creation is key. It takes time, but the more you learn, the better you will get. Keep creating valuable content, be consistent, and focus on your niche.
